My office today: interviewing Kevin Moriarity, Exec. Director, Dallas Theater Center, telling the story of "Mr. Culture," John Rosenfield, arts columnist/critic for the Dallas Morning News from the 1920's to the mid-60's, part of the story for my documentary The Blue House, which was and remains a lovely Queen Anne Victorian home in the Cedars neighborhood of Dallas. John's father, Max Rosenfield, built The Blue House in 1886. In 1955 his son stood on this spot with world-renown architect Frank Lloyd Wright and invited him to build a theatre here, above a limestone escarpment on Turtle Creek. The Dallas Theater Center is the only theater that Frank Lloyd Wright saw built in his lifetime.
