Texans should be concerned about reports of national democrat leaders pressuring Texas democrat House members to abandon their responsibilities in a coordinated effort to disrupt the work of the Texas House.

Let's be clear: walking off the job is not an act of courage; it is an act of cowardice. Texans expect their elected officials to show up for them, not to disappear when they are unhappy with the process. Abdicating responsibility is not how representative government is supposed to operate.

The people of Texas, regardless of their political affiliation, deserve a legislature that functions effectively, not one that abandons its responsibilities. Those contemplating such a reckless move should understand that Texans are watching, and they will remember who upheld their oath and who opted for obstruction over obligation.

Thank you to the Nueces County Republican Party for hosting Chairman Abraham George, Vice Chair Randall for Texas, and RPT’s Chaplain Pastor Kason Huddleston at the second annual South Texas Conservative Conference in Corpus Christi.

It was an honor to stand alongside principled leaders and dedicated grassroots advocates who continue to defend our values and fight for the future of Texas. We are especially grateful for the leadership of Congressman Michael Cloud, Senator Adam Hinojosa, Chairman Rep. Elect Todd Hunter, and Representative Denise Villalobos in keeping South Texas on the right track.

Chairman George had the opportunity to share key legislative victories we’ve secured and discuss the challenges ahead, including the upcoming special session.

Governor Greg Abbott Abbott has ordered all Texas flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of the lives lost during the recent devastating floods. Flags will remain lowered through Sunday, July 13, and will return to full-staff at sunrise on Monday, July 14.

Please join us in prayer and remembrance for those who have been affected.
