When a private company hires a lobbyist, they pay the bill.
But when a city, county, or school district hires one, you pay for it, and they use your money to lobby against you.
Groups like TASB are some of the worst offenders. They use taxpayer dollars to:
❌ Push policies parents never agreed to
❌ Train school boards on how to avoid talking to parents
❌ Fight real reforms in Austin
❌ Protect their own power, not our kids
Their entire system depends on taxpayer-funded lobbying — and Texans are unknowingly footing the bill through their school boards.
We are literally paying people to work against us.
It’s insane, and it’s time to end it.
