The Twins’ (portrait of Kate and Grace H***e)" by the English artist John Everett Millais (1876) 💗
The artwork was commissioned to celebrate their 20th birthday.

From the Fitzwilliam Museum:
"The commission cost an astonishing £1,500 guineas (equivalent to 100 horses in 1876 according to The National Archives currency converter), and it took 8 months to complete. Conservation science and correspondence have indicated that Millais altered the clothing the girls were depicted in, changing them from horse riding outfits to these dresses. Some individuals have proposed that the styling of the Twins may have been inspired by the Danish Princesses Alexandra and Dagmar, who were immensely popular during that period.
