Every month, hosts an Open Decks night—a chance for DJs to connect, try out new gear, and play in front of a live crowd. It’s the perfect space to build experience, make mistakes, and discover unexpected moments.

This transition compilation is full of highs and lows. A lot of the rougher moments come from using unfamiliar gear (not mine), but that’s part of the fun. It pushes me to adapt, trust my instincts, and grow in a safe, supportive environment.

Nothing was pre-planned—just a direction in my head and the freedom to follow it. Every transition, song selection, and flow is completely improvised. I was also mixing on standalone gear, which strips away some of the laptop conveniences and forces a more hands-on, tactile approach. It’s raw, real, and yeah… a bit trickier when someone asks for a random request 😜

Another oldie but a goodie for this . Let's take it all the way back to May 2023 with Derrick & Kristie! A lot has changed since then but it's clear that once thing hasn't changed: sending the perfect banger at the right time!

This wedding was unforgettable and I'm grateful to have been part of it. Here's to more packed dance floors and more timeless memories 🥂🍾

One goal I have this year is to dominate my scratching drills. Last week I learned how to do the Amazing Jazzy Jeff's famous "scribble" scratch and I incorporated it into my own simple routine with swung eights and triplets.

If you don't know what you're looking at, this is basically the equivalent to learning "hot cross buns" or "row your boat" on the piano for the first time. I know it's not perfect in fact it's quite bad. And I imagine I'll look back on this next year and cringe pretty hard but I wanna share the progress anyways. Learning a new scratch is pretty dope!
