FYI if you’re looking for a place to get breakfast pastries Black Rooster Bakery was really good! It is a hidden gem in every sense of the word. I visit this shopping center almost weekly and never even knew this place existed 😅.

It’s tucked away next to Rock Fish. You have to walk through a kind of alleyway to get to it. We got chocolate croissants, butter croissants, chocolate muffins, and a banana nut muffin. It was all very good. The bakery itself is also very nice (plenty of seating inside and outside and an area outside for kids).

Have y’all heard of this place?

If you’re looking for an activity to enjoy with your kids, here’s a quick guide to making your own pumpkin elephant toothpaste:

1. Carve your pumpkin and hollow it out, ensuring the shell remains intact. Place a jar or beaker inside the pumpkin.
2. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of 6% hydrogen peroxide (I use 20 Volume Clear Developer liquid from Sally Beauty) , 2 tablespoons of dish soap, and a few drops of food coloring.
3. Carefully pour the mixture into the jar or beaker inside the pumpkin.
4. In a separate container, mix 2 packets of yeast with 6 tablespoons of warm water.
5. Pour the yeast mixture into the jar/beaker in the pumpkin and witness the magic unfold!
