This time next week, we’ll be sinking our feet into that sweet South Florida sand! ☀️🏝️ A little dad-life recharge for and I, but most importantly, a celebration for turning another 365 days. Another year older, maybe wiser? To be determined... 😆🎉❤️

First beach trip of 2025 means we have to recreate the last photo ➡️. We’re another year older, so we need to confirm we can still squat your husband, and if theres no proof, did it even happen 🤷‍♂️. Time for a switch up, Sterling on top. Versatility is the name of the game. 😂🏋️‍♂️

Spring is in the air here in Central NC, just ask the thick layer of pollen covering everything in sight! Leave something outside for 10 minutes, and it comes back with a new (and very yellow) paint job.

To celebrate, we recruited some enthusiastic helpers to give our front porch a Spring touch. It may have taken longer than planned (thanks to multiple snack breaks and some "creative differences"), but we love any opportunity for a good family project with our littles 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒❤️

Five years ago, our local and were convinced and I ran a fencing business. After getting a couple $20k+ quotes for a 6-acre fence, we did the math, decided to DIY, and saved a ton. Though once we finished, I immediately announced my retirment from the fencing game.

Fast forward five years… and here we are again, just wrapped up the fence around our pool (just needs stain). This one was a breeze in comparison, so I guess I’m open to small fences in the future (60 post max), but don’t even think about asking me for a quote. 😂

The ultimate goal is to build something amazing for our family, some place special, not just for kids, but for future generations to come. Our property has come a long way in the past 6 years, but still a long way to go 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒❤️

My weekly mowing rotation is back, which means it’s also time to start building that all-important base tan.

Growing up, 'no shirt' was the family dress code around our house from around April to September, and I’m proud to say I’ve kept this tradition alive and well. 😆 I'm fortunate that once the base tan sets in, I’m pretty much burn-proof for the season, so consider this weekend my preseason training for a sunburn free year. 🔆🙌
