i was lucky enough to be invited to opening night of at the Buell Theatre and i am still swooning 😊

if you grew up with the book or the film-or both- this musical is everything you want it to be and then some. i have been partnering with live productions for years and very few of them stay with me the way this one did. i was jaw dropped from start to finish, a full range of emotion, and i did not zone out once during a single ballad. that never happens.

the cast is insanely talented.
and the soundtrack- folksy, raw, emotional, and genuinely such a mood. i was not expecting to love every aspect of it as much as i did. 🎭

after the show we headed to the cast party at and it was the perfect way to end an already incredible night. 🥂

The Outsiders is playing at the Buell Theatre through September 27th. tickets are available now- do not miss this one!

The Weller Paper Plane is one of those cocktails that looks intimidating but is actually incredibly easy to make at home- and the result is worth every second. Weller Special Reserve is the world's original wheated bourbon, and that wheat-forward recipe makes all the difference. Smoother, more approachable, and it plays beautifully with everything in this recipe.

Here’s what you need:

Paper Plane
0.75 parts Weller Special Reserve
0.75 parts Romana Amaro
0.75 parts Peychaud’s Aperitivo
0.75 parts Fresh Lemon Juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a coupe glass. That’s it. Equal parts everything, zero excuses not to make it.

Pool day, rooftop sunset, Tuesday night at home - this cocktail does not care about the occasion and neither should you.

i am convinced that is a literal wizard and everything this man touches is pure genius. has been on my list for far too long and getting to new york to finally make it happen felt like a very long overdue date. 🍸

one of the for six consecutive years and it more than lives up to every single expectation.

the concept is simple and spectacular- every cocktail is built around a single spice or ingredient and the results are genuinely otherworldly.

the Ube — frozen, Cut & Dry, Kota pandan liqueur, ube, coconut milk, truffle. absolutely not what i expected and absolutely everything i needed. 🍸

the Basil — gin, basil, tomato water, coconut water, lemon, soy whey. the kind of cocktail that makes you reconsider everything you thought you knew about a gin drink.

the Tonka — rye wh***ey, fino sherry, tonka beurre noisette, lactic rhubarb & strawberry cordial, cocoa butter. dark, complex, and utterly devastating in the best possible way.

the team here is just as incredible as the drinks. this is what happens when genuine passion meets extraordinary skill. i will be back every single time i am in new york. 🍸🤍

a roughly 4 hour drive from phoenix sky harbor and you are in one of the most breathtaking corners of the american southwest. the fall weather alone makes it worth it. not too hot, not too cold, and the light in the desert this time of year is absolutely cinematic.

antelope canyon — protected navajo nation land, which means you must book with an authorized tour company. i went with Antelope Slot Canyon Tours and it was an otherworldly experience. the way the light moves through those sandstone walls is something no photograph will ever fully capture. mine came close. 😏

horseshoe bend — $10 to park, free to have your entire soul rearranged by the colorado river at golden hour. bring water. the walk is short but plan for the views to stop you in your tracks. Horseshoe Bend 🌅

glen canyon dam and lake powell — a quick zip north and you’re practically in utah. the scale of this dam is genuinely humbling and lake powell in the fall is an absolute dream. Glen Canyon Nat’l Rec Area

A Toda Fiesta Fiesta — flaming margs, a mexican pizza, and the most charming decor with twinkle lights everywhere. the perfect end to a day in the desert. 🪅

Lake Powell Airbnb Homes — boho vibes, a charming covered deck, horseshoes in the backyard, and the most glorious bed after a full day of hiking. after a day like that, the bed is non negotiable and this one did not disappoint.
