Hard to find‼️ Paved waterfall hikes in Hawaii can be hard to come by, so you are going to want to save this post!
Waimea Valley Park - on Oahu (not to be confused with Waimea Canyon in Kauai) does have an entrance fee💸 that I felt was a little steep when we were first arriving, but once we went in and I saw this wasn’t just your average hike, it had:
🌸A gorgeous botanical garden
🌊Waterfall at the end of the trail where you can swim. 🛟 With life jackets you can use!
🌳Off road trails to explore
🌯Restaurant
🚽Bathrooms along the trail
🌸Luau
I understood why they could charge so much.
This hike was ideal for us when we visited, because we went to Oahu for my mother in law’s 80th birthday, and we wanted a hike she could do with us.
This is a great spot if you have a stroller, someone elderly or with a physical disability because it is paved all the way up and they even have golf carts people can pay to ride up on.
Also note - your cell phone coverage is pretty spotty at the top, so be prepared if your group gets split up.
WHAT TO PAIR THIS ACTIVITY WITH??
🌊 There are several beaches within minutes of Waimea Valley (details in our blog post)
🚚 Food trucks are also super close!!
I have so many other great details for you.
