Gifted
The truly gifted are in a word… different
unlike the ordinary... or the proudly ignorant,
it is to be - - -
the difference in a diagnosis being benign or malignant,
free of psychosis or being plagued by co-dependence.
Unable to think optimistically or independently,
then we won’t develop any chemistry
because you’re one of the confused left wondering
if it’s not trending on Twitter… what is its relevancy?
Trivial grievances or petty jealousies
Love N Hip-hop, the insecurities of misplaced minds…
things that don’t matter, just don’t matter;
in the truly gifted’ eyes.
Blessed with the aptitude of discernment
gaining respect the old fashioned way,
like “Smith Barney”, we earn it!
Able to decipher hieroglyphics and bu****it
and never fooled by magic or parlor tricks
Bitch!
realizing that, “That doesn't sound right”
or that the pieces just don’t fit....
Capable of creating, inspiring and cavalcading
all over the simple debate of
unimaginative, miniscule minds.
The gifted do, while they keep waiting…
indomitably agonize through nonstop hating
to reach their ambitions
just there on the other side… of follow that dream.
