One FM began in Dallas, Texas, recording late-night electro mix shows in the 80's off the radio and trading tapes with friends. stations to broadcast dance music regularly. That obsession led him to vinyl—digging at Top Ten Records and eventually working at the legendary Bill’s Records—where

he became immersed in the city’s underground nightlife alongside DJs, promoters, and tastemakers. Dallas was the backdrop for his growth as both a selector and performer. Through the 2000s, One FM moved from raves and clubs to radio, appearing on the EdgeClub mix show multiple time and later holding a residency on 89.3 KNON. He went on to be a resident at Area 51—the revival of the legendary Starck Club—sharing the stage with names like Paul Oakenfold, Rabbit in the Moon, and Richard Vission, and many others. Performing at intimate venues, and as large as the American Airlines Center. Today, One FM continues his mission: uniting people on the dancefloor with underground sound, high-energy sets, and an uncompromising love for the music & dance.

Beatport has banned tracks made entirely or mostly using AI from its platform.

In an announcement shared last week (August 12), the music marketplace confirmed that it had updated its content guidelines to prohibit AI-generated music, while tracks created with assistance from AI but remain "human-made" will now have to feature a tag.

The move comes following a deal between Beatport and Beatdapp, a software firm specialising in music fraud detection. Tracks found to contain AI will be prevented from being uploaded onto the platform and rights-holders will then be notified.

In its announcement, Beatport pointed to a recent survey of its users who are mostly from the DJ and electronic music community. 60% of users said that they would not play AI-generated music in their sets, while a further 77% shared a "firm preference" for human-made music. Only 8% said they were open to playing AI-generated music.
