**Reality:** Just like everyone else, people with Down syndrome have unique personalities, strengths, and challenges. They are as diverse as the rest of us!

4. **Misconception: Down syndrome only affects physical appearance.**
**Reality:** While there may be some common physical traits, Down syndrome also impacts cognitive development and can vary widely in abilities and needs.
