One way to think about anxiety is this: What if your body isn’t betraying you? What if it’s trying to tell you something before your mind has caught up?

Sometimes the thing we give most freely to other people…is the very thing we’re starving for ourselves.

This clip is from today’s episode where an anonymous guest sits down with Dr. Lee Long to walk through a real struggle she is having in her marriage using the WAIT framework in real time.

In this conversation, one simple question changed everything:
“Are you giving what you hope to get?”

We think you’ll really get a lot from this conversation.

May was one for the books.

From releasing WAIT, Where Am I in This? to going on The Kelly Clarkson Show, to hosting a new podcast, to being on podcasts like Duck Call Room and more, to news interviews, and two book release parties…it’s been a month I’m still trying to fully take in.

Grateful doesn’t quite cover it, but it’s the closest word I’ve got. Thank you to everyone who supported my new book, tuned into the TV shows and podcasts, came out to the book release parties, and encouraged me along the way. What a month it’s been!

Before you react, get clear:

☑️ What you think.
☑️ What you feel.
☑️ What you believe.
☑️ What’s actually happening.

Most people skip this step and that’s why they keep ending up in the same patterns.

Honored to receive this review from Kirkus Reviews for WAIT, Where Am I in This?

One of the things I hoped most for with this book was that readers would feel seen…and equipped with practical tools to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the emotional patterns shaping their lives. Seeing that reflected in this review means a great deal.

“...a useful primer that will resonate with those looking to improve their relationships and grow as individuals.” — Kirkus Reviews

Thank you to everyone who has read, shared, reviewed, or supported this book so far. Your messages and stories continue to remind me why these conversations matter. Thank you!

People pleasing can become so automatic that we stop questioning it. If you find yourself people pleasing, pause and ask yourself: “What am I afraid would happen if I didn’t?”
