One of my favorite parts of ESSENCE Festival of Culture is seeing the stories that brands like Disney choose to tell.

Disney’s The Power of Joy reminded that joy isn’t just a feeling. It’s something that connects generations, communities, and culture.

les alfred did a stellar job at moderating such an engaging conversation in real time. Girl, your questions for the cast were so intentional, and they stayed with me long after the panel ended!

It was also so good seeing all the creators who’ve made an impact in the Black creator community! It’s always so good seeing TrendyCurvy and her style IRL 😍

Thank you Disney for the invitation and for creating a space that centers joy, creativity, and community. The best activations don’t just create content. They create conversations. This was one of them.
