While some companies are reducing hiring, others are still actively growing in 2026. Healthcare, cybersecurity, logistics, government roles, skilled trades, and AI-related support roles continue to show hiring activity.

This is also a reminder that transferable skills matter more than many people realize.

There are so many talented people struggling in this job market right now. If the process has been discouraging lately, please know you are not alone. Your value is not determined by how quickly a company responds.

The workplace often rewards the most visible voices, but thoughtful communication, reliability, and emotional intelligence are leadership strengths too. Introverts bring a lot of value to the workplace, even if they lead differently.

The 2026 job market is competitive, but there are still ways to stand out without burning yourself out. Strategic applications, stronger LinkedIn profiles, and measurable resume results can make a huge difference right now.

What has been the hardest part of the job search for you lately?

06/04/2026

The job market in 2026 feels different because it is different.

Companies are hiring slower.
More candidates are applying.
And AI has changed how resumes and applications are reviewed.

Here’s what I’d focus on right now if I were job searching today:

1. Stop mass applying
Sending 100 applications with the same resume usually leads to frustration, not interviews.

2. Match the language in the job description
If the company mentions “cross-functional collaboration” three times, your resume should probably reflect that experience.

3. Make your LinkedIn profile work for you
Recruiters are still searching LinkedIn every day. A strong headline and clear About section matter more than people think.

4. Show measurable results whenever possible
Instead of:
“Managed customer accounts”

Try:
“Managed 75+ customer accounts with a 96% retention rate”

5. Don’t underestimate networking
A thoughtful comment or message can open more doors than another rushed application.

The people getting interviews right now are not always the most qualified.
They’re often the clearest communicators.

What’s been the hardest part of the job search for you lately?

06/01/2026

Recruiters aren’t trying to be harsh…they’re overwhelmed. Make it easy for them to say “yes.” 👏

05/29/2026

A strategic job search > an exhausting one. Every single time.

05/29/2026

Let’s talk about the “almost hired” problem.

You made it to the final round.
Maybe even multiple times.

And then…
“While we were impressed, we decided to move forward with another candidate.”

That one stings.

Here’s what’s usually happening at this stage:

It’s not about qualifications anymore.
It’s about differentiation.

At the final stage, everyone is qualified.

So decisions come down to:
1. Who communicated their value more clearly
2. Who felt like the easiest “yes”
3. Who connected their experience directly to business impact
4. Who felt the most confident (not the loudest, just clear and grounded)

This is where “quiet confidence” matters.

You don’t need to be the most outgoing person in the room.
But you do need to make your value obvious.

If you keep getting close, you’re not far off.
You just need to sharpen how you’re showing up.

Have you ever made it to the final round and not gotten the offer?

05/27/2026

Job search silence can feel personal. Most of the time, it isn’t. Keep going. 💛

05/21/2026

If you’re not hearing back after applying, read this.

No response doesn’t always mean “you’re not qualified.”

But it does usually mean one of these:
1. Your resume isn’t clearly aligned with the job
2. Your resume is too generic
3. Your experience isn’t translating well on paper
4. You’re getting filtered out before a human even sees it

And this is the hard part…

You could be a great candidate
…and still get overlooked.

Because your resume isn’t doing its job.

Your resume isn’t just a summary.
It’s a marketing document.

If it doesn’t quickly show:
- What you’ve done
- What results you’ve driven
- Why you fit this role

…it’s getting skipped.

Before you apply to more roles, fix this first.

Have you updated your resume recently…or are you still using the same version everywhere?
