Jim Clancy first sang at PAMS in the late '50s. By 1970 his sound had become an unmistakable part of the Dallas 7-voice vocal group. He sang bass at JAM for over three decades beginning in the mid '70s. Jim truly loved 4-male vocal arrangements, and would often sing an impromptu "barbershop tag" with the other guys during breaks in our vocal sessions. He helped create the Vocal Majority which, under his direction, became a multi-award winning barbershop chorus. We're sad to say that Jim passed away on April 16, 2025. He was 87.

1/22/25 - One of the few podcasts I make time for is "Twenty Thousand Hertz". They describe it as "the stories behind the world's most recognizable and interesting sounds" and I've been a listener since it began about 9 years ago. I am honored to be a guest on the latest episode which was released today. It's about jingles, PAMS, JAM, me and more, and I think the production is excellent. You can listen to it on their website, which will be in the first comment below, or search for it wherever you like to get podcasts. -Jon Wolfert

10/16/24 - Our official "corporate birthday" is next month, but this is our Logoversary! 50 years ago today the JAM logo was born, and we have never changed it (despite various designers wanting to "modernize it" for us). We think it has been one constant in the lives of broadcasters who live in an ever-changing industry. Every JAM logo you've ever seen has been derived from this original mechanical artwork, made by graphic artist John Willard in 1974. Please click on the pictures for more background and details.

7/5/24 - It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to vocalist Trella Hart, who passed away on the morning of July 4. Trella's voice and enthusiastic sound electrified top-40 radio in the 1960s and 1970s. She moved to Dallas in 1966 and was signed to an exclusive contract with PAMS Productions. This resulted in two very successful radio jingle packages, "Swiszle" and "Fun Vibrations", as well as numerous custom projects and commercials. In a very short time Trella's unique voice and laugh could be heard on radio stations coast-to-coast and around the world. She went on to sing jingles and commercials for other producers as well, including JAM. She loved performing jazz standards at various clubs and venues. Trella will be missed not only for her musical talent, but as a warm and fun person who was a delight to listen to, work with, and be with. RIP, Trella, and thank you. -Jon Wolfert / PAMS / JAM

We have posted a brief montage of some of her early jingle work here: www.jingles.com/audio/stash/TrellaMontage.mp3

Here in Dallas we're experiencing one of our famous winter ice storms. They could probably hold the next Winter Olympics in our parking lot because it's a solid ice skating rink at the moment. Yes jingles are cool, just like the weather, but they'll have to wait a day or two more. If this impacts you, stay safe out there. Better yet, stay inside if you can.
