✨ Gluten-Free Viet-Mex in Dallas ✨

Cris and John is well known in Dallas for a reason… and did you know they have a gluten-free menu?? Vietnamese meets Mexican, and the combination works so much better than you'd ever expect. We're talking viet classics like spring rolls, skewers, rice plates, and pho alongside Mexican favorites like birria tacos, elote, and flautas. All with a gluten-free menu to guide you through it.

It is a shared kitchen and shared fryer situation, so keep that in mind. But the staff here are incredibly knowledgeable about gluten-free and go above and beyond to make your dish safe. They’re able to make swaps like grilling flautas on the grill top instead of frying them, and when I asked them to change gloves for my order they agreed without any hesitation.

Today, I went with the birria tacos, three crispy tacos filled with spicy beef short ribs and mozzarella cheese, served with angry pho consomé and all the fixings. So incredibly cheesy, warm, and comforting, and honestly the green salsa completely stole the show for me over the consomé. I couldn’t stop reaching for it.

I also got an order of the spring rolls with fish sauce and y'all these things were massive. I could not even finish them and I tried my best 😅

✨ Gluten-Free Macarons in Plano ✨

Okay, I used to go to Chelles Macarons all the time in college and somehow let years go by without going back. I was going through old photos recently and realized I needed to correct that immediately 😅

Chelles is a dedicated gluten-free facility in Plano serving up some of the best macarons in Dallas, and walking back in felt like coming back to 2014. I grabbed a 6 pack with mixed flavors: Salted Caramel, Lemon Berry, Cookies and Cream, Birthday Cake, Raspberry Rose, and Fruity Pebbles. Each one perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and the flavors are sweetened to perfection. The salted caramel may have snuck out of the photo before I could stop it 😂

If you're a gluten-free girlie in Dallas and you haven't been yet, this needs to be your next stop. And if you're not making it out to Plano anytime soon, you can also find them at the Dallas Farmers Market… so you have zero excuses 💕

✨ The Ultimate Gluten-Free Sports Bar in Euless ✨

Football season is officially here… so every gluten-free guy in the DFW needs to know about Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers - Euless, TX before kickoff!

A full gluten-free menu, dedicated fryers, dedicated prep space, and yes they even have gluten-free beer. This is the spot where you can actually sit back, watch the game, and eat really amazing gluten-free food. Perfect for the girls too, trust me they won’t be disappointed 😉

We started with the classic Buffalo Wings and the Big Tex A*z Nachos, and y’all, those nachos are always my favorite. We get chicken added on and it is seasoned perfectly every single time.

Then came the CB&CB Burger with tater tots! Can we just appreciate a gluten-free bun that actually holds together the entire time you're eating it? Because this one does and with a half pound of beef, we need something to hold up. Super juicy, incredibly satisfying, and exactly what you want when you're watching the game.

Gluten-free or not, everyone at this table is going to leave happy. Go check them out 💕

✨ Celebrating My Birthday as a Gluten-Free Girlie ✨

I love that my birthday has become a full day event and this year was extra special 🎂🥹

We celebrated at Le Beef in Plano, the sister restaurant of Bavette, and it’s the perfect spot because the majority of their menu is naturally gluten-free. Dedicated fryer for the fries, and the only real swaps are things like gluten-free bread for the canapes and warm bread service.

I went with their classic Le Beef, a 50 day wet aged USDA prime top blade steak, which still comes with everything in the pre-fix menu including the salad, canapes, and warm bread. We also grabbed a side of their brussels sprouts which were absolutely perfect. Now…. all of their desserts are gluten-free, but we brought in the most stunning cake from Pinch of Salt Pastries in Grapevine. Chocolate hazelnut with a hazelnut crunch filling. I don't even have the words, it was the most perfect ending to such a special night 🥹

✨Gluten-Free Granola in Dallas✨

Y’all know I’m always at Farmers Markets looking for the best local products, so when I saw that ALL of Granola With Love products are gluten-free… I had to give them a try!

Made in small batches with certified gluten-free oats, these are perfect for us gluten-free girlies. I got to taste test all their flavors at the St. Michael’s Farmers Market and instantly fell in love with every single one… and ended up going home with two bags!

Their Naked is their classic, simple granola sweetened with maple syrup but the real star is the coconut and vanilla bean flavors. Perfect for topping on your yogurt or eating straight out of the bag (honestly). I also snagged the ABC (Almond Butter Chocolate with Banana Chips), which is rich, slightly sweet, and oh so good.

The best part? You don’t have to wait for a market to get your hands on some! You can also order online and get it straight to your door.

✨ Dedicated Gluten-Free Cookies in Richardson ✨

Trouvi Cookies in Richardson is a dedicated gluten-free facility and they’ve been one of my most elusive spots for the better part of a year now 🍪🥹

What really sets them apart is how they're made. After baking, each cookie goes straight into the freezer to lock in all that moisture and keep them perfectly ooey gooey. When you get yours they'll still be frozen, just take them out, let them sit for about 15 minutes, and trust me… they’re worth every second of that wait.

And y’all, they have an impressive lineup! We're talking everything from a Snickerdoodle made with Vietnamese Saigon cinnamon, to a Southern Butter Pecan with toasted pecans and English toffee, to a Sweet and Salty with dark chocolate, pretzels, and toasted coconut (my absolute fav!!)

✨Gluten-Free Soufflés and Community✨

Tina from Best of Dallas Gluten Free never misses, and this past weekend’s event at rise soufflé in Plano might have been one of the most stunning events I’ve had the pleasure of attending 🥹

There’s something so special about sitting around a beautiful table with a group of people who get it. Swapping restaurant recommendations, sharing our newest finds, laughing about the struggles we all know a little too well, and just enjoying an incredible meal without having to ask a thousand questions. That’s exactly what Tina creates every single time and I’m so incredibly grateful for it.

✨ Gluten-Free Ramen in Carrollton ✨

The second I heard about YoBowl in Carrollton serving gluten-free Mifen noodles, I sent them an email, got the full breakdown on what was safe to order, and immediately packed my purse and headed out the door 🤸‍♀️

Mifen are traditional rice noodles popular throughout Southwest China and they are completely gluten-free! Now, before you go: this is a shared kitchen and not everything on the menu is gluten-free. Be sure to stick with the non-spicy broth and choose shrimp, fish, or chicken breast as your protein. Skip the spicy broth and any of the beef since both contain soy sauce, and you're good to go!

If you have any questions, the team was incredible and genuinely understood what gluten is and what needed to be avoided, which always makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable.

I went with the mifen in broth with chicken, bok choy, green onions, and topped it off with an egg. The broth came out piping hot and from the very first bite I knew I had found something really special. I don't usually love noodle soups because so many places make them unbearably salty, but this broth was the opposite. It was deeply savory, warming, and comforting in that way that makes you slow down and just appreciate every single bite. The noodles were cooked perfectly and I genuinely could not stop eating.

It is very much still summer in Dallas, but I would go back in a heartbeat and I already know this is going to be on heavy rotation the second the weather cools down 💕

✨ Gluten-Free Gelato in Plano ✨

Can we talk about Chef Mohammad at Bazaria Gelateria in Plano for a second because this man is incredibly talented and I need everyone to know about it 🥹

Mohammad learned the art of gelato from masters in Italy, Miami, and the Middle East, and it shows in every single scoop. His signature flavor, the Fig Krokan, earned him third place at the Gelato Festival World Masters in St. Louis, second place at the North American Semifinals, and a spot as one of only ten gelato chefs competing in the national finals in Los Angeles. In Plano, Texas. I mean, come on!!!

Now let's talk about why this is especially exciting for us gluten-free girlies, because honestly I used to feel pretty left out at gelato spots. Not here. About half the flavors are clearly labeled gluten-free right in the case, and there are tons of gluten-free and dairy-free options like sorbet too. So many options that I may have sampled a few too many before making my final decision 😉

The second I tried the cherry cheesecake, I knew it was over. That bright cherry flavor with the depth of cream cheese underneath was everything I wanted. I paired it with the orange mascarpone, which had little bits of orange peel throughout that I absolutely fell in love with. Together they were creamy, smooth, perfectly balanced, and not too sweet. Exactly what you want on a hot summer day in Texas.

If you're gluten-free and haven't made it to Bazaria yet, please go. You will not be disappointed 💕
