Congratulations to our client, Hillwood Properties, on announcing a major milestone for the Texas film industry with its partnership with Taylor Sheridan’s SGS Studios and Paramount Pictures! The partnership welcomed Texas’s largest film and TV production studios with two buildings that make up a 450,000-square-foot campus at AllianceTexas in Fort Worth. The new production studios are not only home to some of today’s most popular TV shows but are also creating thousands of local jobs. Our team is proud to be part of this pivotal moment for our region and state!

The Cooksey team was privileged to have worked with Tarrant County Commissioner Gary Fickes for many years. For 14 of them, we had the honor of helping him produce the Tarrant Transportation Summit, an event that reflected his deep commitment to regional transportation infrastructure and connectivity.

The summit became one of the most attended events of its type in Texas, bringing more than 650 attendees (on average) per year. The event’s success can be attributed to Gary’s constant desire to learn as much as possible about the industry and push forward innovative ideas for use in North Texas.

At his final Summit in 2024, the line to sign his memory book stretched far and long. Attendees took their time, each note a heartfelt tribute to one of North Texas’ most beloved public servants.

Though the Summit transitioned to new leadership in its 15th year, Commissioner Fickes still attended, greeting friends and championing the causes he loved.

His leadership helped deliver key transportation projects like SH-170, SH-114, FM 1709, the North Tarrant Express and IH-35W. He was also a strong advocate for healthcare and seniors.

Commissioner Fickes leaves behind a legacy of service, impact and heart that will continue to shape our region for years to come.

The morning featured a keynote from Aaron Demerson, president and CEO of the Texas Economic Development Corporation, and panels with Texas developers who shared why they’re choosing Anna for its competitive advantages and status as the fifth fastest-growing city in the nation.

Today, Cooksey® team members volunteered at the North Texas Food Bank, helping pack and sort food supplies for food-insecure residents across the region.

Our team sorted through carrots and potatoes to assemble meal kits, ultimately packing 10,800 pounds of food and creating 9,000 meals for those in need. We enjoyed rolling up our sleeves to support this incredible organization. Giving back to the community we love is always a rewarding experience.
