🚨 $3,000 Antigravity Drone vs. $5 Amazon Clip 🚨
So, Insta360 is rolling out their shiny new “AntiGravity A1” drone for $1,500–$3,000. Sounds cool, right? Except here’s the problem:
I’ve already been flying the DJI FPV (absolute beast of a machine). Cost me about $500. Add my Insta360 ($600) and a $5 clip from Amazon that lets me strap it on. Total: $1,105.
That’s the same “antigravity” setup they’re hyping—at 1/3 the cost.
👉 The kicker? Insta360 is an action camera company, not a drone company. They’re entering a brutal market where DJI, Skydio, and Autel already rule the skies. Pricing themselves 2–3x higher without solving a new problem is… bold.
If they want to win, they should lower the entry price and make money on a subscription model (crash replacement, cloud storage, premium editing). That way, people are still paying even if they don’t fly often.
As it stands, this is basically a $5 accessory with a $3,000 price tag.
Sometimes innovation isn’t about reinventing—it’s about being honest about what’s already possible.
✈️ I own six drones. Trust me, I’ve seen this movie before.
