There was something special about days like this.

No schedules, no reservations-

Just a blanket on the grass, a few folding chairs, and everyone gathered together for no particular reason at all.

The adults talked, the kids played, and time moved a little slower than it does now.

You didn't think to take a lot of pictures, because it didn't feel like anything out of the ordinary-It was just life.

But looking back, these were the moments that mattered most.

Simple, unplanned, and full of the kind of happiness you don't realize you'll miss one day.

If time travel were possible, I don't think most people would rush ahead - they'd want to go back...

Back to when life felt simpler.

When you had to be home, in time for your favorite show... and you'd run for a snack during commercials.

There was less...

but somehow, it felt like everything.

And I think a lot of us would go back in a heartbeat.
