Dallas, TX — Waitress Arrested After Customer Leaves Her a “Tip” of Foreign Coins Worth 10 Cents

Dallas officers arrested 25-year-old waitress Brooklyn Myers after an altercation involving a table that left her a “tip” consisting of three foreign coins totaling less than 10 cents in value.

According to staff, Brooklyn had handled the table alone because other servers were busy. She delivered multiple drink refills, fetched special sauces, cleaned up a spilled drink, and split checks three separate times after the customers changed their minds.

When they left, Brooklyn found a stack of coins and a note that said:

“Travel more. You might learn something.”

Brooklyn approached their table outside, holding the coins in her hand, and said:

“What is this supposed to mean?”

One of the men laughed and said:

“It means you should have worked harder.”

At that point Brooklyn opened their to-go bag, pulled out their boxed ribs, and threw them across the patio, where they splattered on the pavement.

The man lunged forward, shouting, “That was my dinner!”

Brooklyn replied:

“So is respect. You didn’t pay for that either.”

Police detained her after the customers reported the incident.

She reportedly told officers:

“If they can disrespect me, they can eat off the ground.”

She was charged with disorderly conduct.
