TRUCKER IN ICE CUSTODY AFTER REPORTING A BROKEN MIRROR
​What started as a simple report for damages ended in a federal arrest in Green River, Wyoming. Earlier this February, truck driver Vazha Gelashvili noticed a broken side mirror after stopping at a Love’s Travel Stop on Interstate 80.

When he called the police to help him review security footage, the situation took a turn. The responding officer checked Gelashvili’s documents and found a non-domiciled CDL issued in New Jersey. The officer claimed the license was not valid under Wyoming state law, leading to the driver's arrest.

Why this matters to us:
​This case is a massive reminder to always double-check the validity of our documents across different states and, most importantly, keep our dashcams running at all times. A $200 mirror isn't worth a federal investigation.
