Tomorrow, the world meets The Woman The World Forgot---and I couldn’t be more grateful, nervous, and thrilled all at once.

The Woman the World Forgot (and Other Tales) is a brooding and unsettling collection of short fiction that explores the breathtaking beauty and brutality hiding just beneath the surface.

From a lone man struggling to survive during an apocalyptic plague that drives the afflicted toward savage, unrelenting violence, to a priest tormented by more than just lost faith --- from a couple with bloody secrets in their health food store, to a woman who finds her identity and memories have suddenly evaporated Into the ether --- these stories pull you into the strange, the eerie, the uncanny, and the darkly atmospheric.

With vividly constructed, immersive worlds, this collection doesn’t ask if the darkness is real. It asks how long we can pretend it isn’t.

"Race You To Macy's" is slated to be produced and filmed in the Greater Springfield area. The film will be an adaptation of Angel Rosa's short story of the same name.

In the story, two young brothers seemingly in constant competition vie for the affections of a young girl, Macy Freeman.

Angel Rosa is the multiple award-winning writer, producer, director, and operator of Hat City Pictures.

Originally based in Danbury, Connecticut and now operating out of Western Massachusetts, the goal of Hat City Pictures is to promote the arts -- with a special emphasis on writing and filmmaking-- in and around the Greater Springfield, Massachusetts area, and beyond.

Angel's credits range from feature length films, to music videos, and from television to acclaimed short films.

Angel's work has been featured at film festivals, screening at venues across the U.S. and internationally, including screenings in Germany, England, Italy, France, Canada, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Knoxville, Miami, and Manhattan---just to name a few. His films and affiliated productions are also available on streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, Etc

The aim of Hat City Pictures is to build a groundswell of support from the community, expanding on a coalition of inspired and motivated creatives of diverse ages and backgrounds.

Angel's latest short film project, "Race You To Macy's", is slated to be produced and filmed in the Greater Springfield area. The film will be an adaptation of Angel's short story of the same name.

In the story, two young brothers, ages 9 and 11, vie for the affections of a young girl, Macy Freeman, age 10. The brothers eventually engage in a perilous challenge to win Macy's favor. Filming begins Late spring / early summer.

Cortland "Cort" James, a 37-year-old securities broker, sets out on a super secret mission to find the perfect engagement ring to propose to his longtime girlfriend, Elly.

Along the way, Cort meets New Jersey Transit Authority worker, Avanel Jimenez. Seemingly confused and disoriented, Avanel claims to be unsure of where she is, what her name is, or where she's from, with only her work vest and ID badge containing any possible trace of her true identity.
