“I Was Almost Happy Today”** – Out Now

Stephen Miller has officially dedicated his new song *“I Was Almost Happy Today”* to Matthew Olmstead and his beautiful daughter, Charlee — whose story moved us all to tears.

Charlee was just 3½ years old when she passed, a radiant soul with Down Syndrome and a love for music that filled her home. Her dad, Matthew, came into the shop to finish a bass guitar as a tribute to her life — a project built on love, memory, and healing. What happened next was nothing short of incredible. Stephen and Matthew met. They shared stories. They cried. They healed. And a connection was born.

Stephen’s song, though personal to his own journey with his non-verbal son, carries a universal weight — it’s for any parent who has walked through the heartbreak, the strength, the daily courage of raising a child with disabilities. Especially those facing the beautiful and challenging path of raising a child with Down Syndrome.

This song is for *you*. For every mom and dad who’s had to navigate a world that didn’t always understand. For every parent who’s ever had to say goodbye too soon, or carry hope through the hardest days.

Stephen Miller’s new song “I Was Almost Happy Today” releases to the world.

This song is more than just music—it’s a father’s heart, poured into melody and memory.
Stephen wrote this for his son, Trent, who could speak and laugh and talk like any other child—until everything changed at age 10.
That’s when Trent was diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, a severe form of epilepsy, and non-verbal autism.

Since then, their world has looked different—but love has remained the same.
This song captures the ache of watching someone you love fade behind silence… and the courage it takes to keep holding on.
