Dear Little John Families:
It is with a sense of profound sadness that I share the passing of 2026 Danville High School senior, William Nate Foster. This is a heartbreaking loss for our community.

The death of a young person is difficult for all of us. If your student is affected by the news, it is essential that they share their feelings, and reach out to others for support.

We will have support at the school tomorrow, and will be respectful of our grieving Foster family. In addition to our team of school counselors, we will have local church leaders. Members of these teams will be available to talk to students, staff members, and parents.

On behalf of all members of the school staff, our deepest condolences are with family and friends during this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Tressie Fowler
Principal

Update: Visitation will be at 9am this Friday at the Plainview First Baptist Church, and the funeral will be at 10am.

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our managing editor, Jan Huntley.

For the past four years, Jan has been at the heart of our newsroom—guiding stories, shaping voices, and making sure our community stayed informed. Her dedication, professionalism, and kindness left a mark on all of us, and she will be greatly missed not only as an editor, but as a friend.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jan’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
