See below the obituary for Alice Inman.
Alice Marie (Shaw) Inman, was born on Easter Sunday, on her mother’s birthday, April 12, 1936 at Walnut Grove in Havana, AR. She lived a long and satisfied life of 90 years and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 21, 2026 at Mitchell’s Nursing Home in Danville, AR.
Alice lived in Twin Falls, Idaho for over 50 years with the love of her life, Bob Inman. Alice was a homemaker and raised three girls: Sherrie, Teresa and Rose. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. Bob and Alice moved back to Havana, AR in 2008. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage.
God blessed them with 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Alice was a generous giver of her time and talents of cooking, knitting, crocheting and quilting. She won 1st place at AR State Fair with her crocheted doily and keepsake
quilt. She enjoyed collecting cookie jars and antiques. She loved to play cards and dominoes and work Suduko puzzles. To relax she would watch TV and drink Pepsi.
She is survived by her sister: Mary Ann Briscoe, her daughters: Sherrie (Carl) Johnson of Milan, TN and Teresa (W.A.) Gorman of Havana, AR. Her grandchildren: Jamie (Jim) Anderson, Jay (Tonya) Johnson, Craig (Liz) Johnson, Stephanie (Steve) Sykes, Matthew Gorman, Justin Russell and Megan (D.J) Tolmie. Great grandchildren: T Jay, Cody, Kelsey, Caleb, Heather, Abigail, Mikayla, Lillie, Josiah, Poppy, Bloom, Addie, Huxley and Grace.
Alice is preceded in death by her sister Lear Joyce Shaw, parents, Floyd and Audie Shaw, husband, Bob Inman and daughter, Rose Marie Rusell.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 pm Thursday before the service at the New Life Outreach Church in Danville. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 28, 2026 at the New Life Outreach Church with Pastor W.A. Gorman officiating. Burial
will be at Moores Chapel Cemetery.

Chief Rick Padgett, who won the March Primary Election for sheriff will not have an opponent as thought in the November General Election.
According to Yell County Election officials, two men, Kyle Pippin and Kenny Cooper filed as Independents for the Sheriff's position for the November General Election.
Neither Pippin or Cooper filed by the deadline at noon, May 1, 2026, their required signatures and additional paperwork with the Yell County Clerks' office.
Therefore Padgett is the Sheriff-Elect who will take office January 1, 2027.

Plainview Methodist Church will host revival services on the weekend of April 10-12. Rev. Dr. David Bush will speak Friday and Saturday evenings at 6:30pm, and Rev. Joshua Dye will bring the Sunday morning message at 10:00am. The church is located at 411 West 5th St in Plainview. All are encouraged to attend these special services. The election Coordinator issued new numbers for JP District 9, Leroy Randall received 49 votes and Marlene Crawford received 47 votes. In result Randall is the Winner.
