This week at the 66

And just like that, we are into 2026! Thanks for all of y’all came out to celebrate our second annual turkey drop to ring in the new year. We took a few days off but we are back starting Wednesday, Jan. 7 at our normal hours.

Thirsty Thursday
We are starting a new thirsty thursday special this month featuring a draft and pretzel bite combo for $10. Pick any draft and pair it with our cinnamon or cheese sauce pretzel bites for an awesome flavor combination.

Saturday, January 10
Karaoke and DJ Set with DJ E
From 7-10 DJ E will be hosting Karaoke and playing a DJ set on the toasty warm porch. Come out and belt your favorites and watch your friends strut their stuff. Guaranteed good times.

NEWS RELEASE: MAN INDICTED ON MULTIPLE COUNTS OF CREDIT CARD THEFT

Following an investigation that began in early 2025 by the Danville Police Department, 35-year-old Florin Doroiman was indicted by a Danville Grand Jury with 62 counts of credit card theft Monday, Jan. 5.

In February 2025, the Danville Police Department received information that a credit card skimmer was discovered inside Walmart at 515 Mt. Cross Road after it detached from one of the store’s card readers. One skimmer was located, and no additional skimmers were found.

It was determined the skimmer was placed on a single card reader at a register in the store.

There are no indications any of the captured card information on the skimmer was used for fraudulent transactions.

After learning of other incidents across Virginia, investigators collaborated with other jurisdictions including local law enforcement agencies and the United States Secret Service on the case.

The Danville Police Department wishes to thank the United States Secret Service who worked diligently with investigators and local partners to bring this case to a close.

This investigation remains ongoing.
