The Valley Sentinel is seeking to hire a contract publisher to help produce our monthly recurring print newspaper and online content.
The publisher will work to produce the monthly physical print paper by collecting articles, ads, content, and using Adobe InDesign software to organize and format before submitting to the printer.
This role requires experience and working knowledge of print publications, ad formatting, graphics, fonts, layouts, sizing or resizing, coordinating with journalists, coordinating with graphics artists, sales professionals, and clients.

Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) recommends that everyone take steps to stay safe and healthy in the hot weather, with triple-digit temperatures throughout much of the county today and Thursday. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory through 8 p.m. Thursday for parts of Contra Costa, with forecasted temperatures as high as 106 degrees in cities such as Concord and Brentwood.
