It's a beautiful day for a wedding, at this, my second wedding ever at the Duck Creek Lodge in Davenport. It joins the VFW Post 8890 in East Moline as just the second venue I have done multiple weddings at.

And of course, my dearest thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Anthony and Katy Duran for giving me the privilege of DJ-ing for your special day.

We had an awesome crowd last night at The 11th Street Precinct Bar & Grill for that location's second of two Quad Cities Karaoke Championship qualifiers.

We had 5 participants (just like the first one), and we had constant singers throughout the rest of the evening. It made for a successful night all around.

All in all, I look forward to bringing the fun of the qualifiers back to 11th Street Precinct next year.

I thank board member Amber for making the night possible, and for getting us our three judges who did a wonderful job as well, Adam, Will, and MJ.

Tomorrow, July 25, is the rescheduled second qualifier at The 11th Street Precinct Bar & Grill. Recall that on July 11 we had extreme severe weather, so we wisely made the decision to reschedule.

However, we are in a rut now: we don't have anyone to judge. Two of my judges will be out of town and a third simply doesn't want to do it.

So I'm posting to ask: is anyone available to serve as a judge for tomorrow's Quad Cities Karaoke Championship qualifier at 11th Street Precinct? All I need are three judges. Signups for participant singers starts at 8 and the event starts at 9.

If you are available or know someone who is, please let me know.

Two days after my first ever wedding in both Nebraska and in Mountain Time, I thought I'd give a shout out to another notable couple for me.

7/20/24, it may have been just my 7th wedding overall and 2nd of Year 2, but it was a very notable one: it occurred in Ottumwa, the first ever wedding for me outside the Quad Cities Area entirely.

And one year later, I wish Raven Callas and her husband Dustin a very happy one-year anniversary!

And an interesting postscript: the site of the Ottumwa wedding, the Ottumwa Country Club, would be the same place I would meet a future couple (to sign a contract specifically) that I eventually DJ-ed for this year: Tory and Marisa Williams, who were married in Knoxville (IA) back on 6/21/25.

With three of last year's semifinalists performing, it is sure to be one heck of a debut karaoke night for Encore At The Roycroft.

I look forward to seeing everyone there when I host a Quad Cities Karaoke Championship qualifier during Encore's soft opening on August 15.
