After a long drive, we pull into Cracker Barrel for a cozy overnight stay. It’s the perfect spot for travelers with that classic Southern hospitality! While we're there, we chat about RV overnight parking etiquette—do you slide out or keep those slides in for the night?

Finally, we arrive at Gulf State Park Campground for a two-week stay filled with fun in the sun! Can’t wait to dive into the famous Flora-Bama Interstate Mullet Toss!

Stopped by the Beach Barber today and Dwayne got me looking halfway respectable again. What started as a simple haircut turned into one of those great conversations—you know the kind… where you realize you’ve got more in common than you thought.

Told him my age, where I’m from, swapped a few stories… just good people, good vibes.

Then came time to pay… and he hits me with a senior discount.

Now hold on a minute… I don’t know if I should be thankful or offended 😆

Because in my head, I’m still a kid… and like Clint Eastwood said — “Don’t let the old man in.”

So I paid the bill… took the discount… and walked out just a little more experienced than when I walked in.

Big shoutout to Ken and Ellen for stopping by yesterday at Gulf State Park Campground to say hello!

Not only did we get to share some great conversation, but they showed up with gifts… straight bourbon whiskey and SPAM 😂 — yep, they definitely know me well!

Moments like this are exactly why we love this lifestyle. The RV community continues to amaze us with the kindness, generosity, and genuine connections we get to experience along the way.

You just never know who you’re going to meet out here… and that’s what makes it so special.

While staying here at Gulf State Park Campground, we had the chance to meet Jody and Judy—and what a great night it turned out to be.

Good conversation, plenty of laughs, and a couple of cold ones… the kind of night that reminds you what this lifestyle is really all about.

RV life isn’t just about the places you go—it’s about the people you meet along the way. And time after time, it continues to bless us with moments like this.

Grateful for new friendships and unforgettable evenings on the road. 🍻
