MISSING ADULT

The Rock Island Police Department is requesting assistance in locating 64-year old Nathan McDowell. Nathan was last seen on June 9th and has several health issues. He is 5’ 8” in height, 200 lbs., and was last seen wearing a dark plaid short-sleeved button-up shirt, jean shorts, and white Nike shoes. He walks with a cane and always wears a baseball cap.

Anyone with information on Nathan’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Rock Island Police Department at (309) 732-2677 or Crime Stoppers at (309) 762-9500 or using the P3 Tips app.

Former city administrator wrote a blog. Here are screenshots related to the secret settlements that Tom Warner was recently reprimanded by the Iowa Supreme Court. During the Diercks trial I heard exactly which alderpersons were involved in said secret settlements and 3 still remain on council. 🤨😡

If you did not hear yet Davenport did pass the ordinance and my question about acres limitations was asked and the response was, when over a certain acreage the Iowa utility board takes over. Ugh. Not a good response because she never said the acreage amount. BUT, it was tables for 1 cycle, so I expect it to be on the agenda again this next week.

This article is related to a Data Center and not a solar farm; a data center will need an energy source and there is the Scott county supplemental power plant project to consider as we move forward. Where exactly will that "stored" solar energy go??!!

The City of Clinton appreciates the strong community engagement and thoughtful questions regarding the potential QTS data center project. Recent Council action means discussions and evaluation will continue, with no final decisions made at this time.

The City is actively working on an ordinance to address key concerns like water use, noise, traffic, environmental protections, and more. Residents will have opportunities to review the proposal and share input, including through a new online feedback portal coming soon.

I have "writers block" regarding the speech, I just kept thinking that I am in a rah-rah meeting, (of course I am) I attended many when in corporate America and the meetings tend to be mostly about boosting morale/confidence in our employer/employment future. In that context with the audience present the speech appeared to be effective.
