From Depue’s Fire Chief: “There is some misunderstanding with the warning that came from the weather service. Due to the levels of the creek at the white bridge, we asked a few residences to evacuate out of an abundance of caution due to the condition of that bridge. If a full evacuation was issued we would have resources deployed to conduct those evacuations. The cornfield section of town is the issue. We have teams out monitoring the creek levels during these heavy rain events.”

Evacuation efforts are underway for parts of Depue, IL as the box culvert is nearly full and flooding is expected to begin shortly. THIS A FLASH FLOOD WARNING for Depue and surrounding areas.

FUNNEL CLOUDS POSSIBLE: We are seeing some funnel cloud reports out there as the back end of this system tracks through. These are cold-air funnels which rarely touch the ground. They are very weak and usually pose no danger. This photo was taken near Aledo, IL.

Sooo, I went back on my Ring cam to watch the Tuesday morning storm as it hit my neighborhood in Moline. Shortly after I left to go help cover the storms, a ‘guest’ arrived to watch the storm. 😯
