I would like to send my condolences to the family of Big B, Chris Blecher of the Boodah Brothers, who recently transitioned.

Chris “Big B” Belcher was the legendary radio personality of Boodah Brothers Live from the Hood and their morning show on 103 JAMZ (WOWI) in Norfolk, Virginia. Big B passed away in January 2026 at age 57. He died following multiple health conditions, but he will never be forgotten. When D. Angelo passed, I went digging through the crates to find a picture of him and me together, but no luck. S**t, Dam, Motherf #%€^, I said to myself. That can’t be! I remember interviewing him at least twice, and another time in his presence at an event. Still, I didn’t take any pictures with him? Unbelievable!

I remember on many occasions not asking for pictures because I didn’t want to come off as a groupie. So maybe that was my state of mind at the time.

I got frustrated because I couldn’t post my proof of connection with the brother from VA. You know how WE do, constantly posting pictures when someone transitions.

Well, while I was cleaning and going through the archives, “BAM” — there it was: HIS gift to me —a plaque thanking me for all the support.

So, I humbly share this pic while extending a sincere thank you to the Neo-Soul, R&B Legend D. Angelo and, of course, one of the smoothest to ever do it, AZ!

Now, I need a new frame! #
