🇯🇲 The cost will amount to billions of Jamaican dollars.

Hurricane Melissa devastated communities from Black River to Montego Bay, leaving homes destroyed and families displaced across St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland, and St. James. The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) is urging donors to give cash through trusted organizations rather than sending bulk goods that can clog relief systems. Cash allows aid agencies to move faster and meet the most urgent local needs.
