KDVS UC Davis, CA. Student-run, community-driven, non-commercial, alternative, independent, freeform radio. Listen locally at 90.3 FM and worldwide at kdvs.org!

KDVS is:

* non-commercial = you'll never hear ads, only sponsorships and PSAs from local organizations

* non-profit = any extra money we make goes back into next year's budget

* student/volunteer-run = none of our DJs get paid, and only a handful of student managers get paid a tiny stipend; we do it for the love of radio!

* educational = it's in our mission statement to play new and undergroun

d music and cover under-represented topics to educate both our DJs and our listeners, avoiding artists who are already in the mainstream

* freeform = besides the mainstream rule, DJs have the freedom to play whatever artist, whatever genre, whatever! (within FCC guidelines of course)

* college/community = we're licensed to UC Davis, but you don't have to be a student to volunteer; everyone from the community is welcome

* terrestrial/internet = with a 9,200-watt tower, we broadcast all over Davis and Sacramento, and from Fairfield to the foothills; worldwide online!

We had such a blast at this year’s Operation: Restore Maximum Freedom! 😆 Check out the highlights of our all-day festival 🎶 We had amazing bands come out, from LA, the Bay, and the Sacramento Valley, for a day of music and good fun at the park! 🎸
