Downtown Concert Series featuring our great friends Hardwater, and Second Friday ArtAbout. Gotta love Davis!
As the summer nights begin to cool off, the Davis Downtown Summer Concert Series will heat things up at the Second Friday ArtAbout on Friday with Hardwater from 7 to 9 p.m. on the E Street Plaza, in the 200 block of Second Street in downtown Davis. Also on the E Street Plaza, the Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre and Third Stage Dance Company will do a dance in public places during Hardwater’s set.
The Second Friday ArtAbout is a monthly evening of art viewing and artists’ receptions at galleries and businesses in Davis. Coordinated by the Davis Downtown, all events are free and open to the public. Many include complimentary refreshments and opportunities to converse with featured artists.
There are four new venues this month — Akasha Yoga, RE/MAX Gold, Upwelling Capital Group, and Bohème and Paulina’s Boutique — as well as two returning venues, the Hallmark Inn and Studio K. Several venues will feature live music, a DJ or special event: Armadillo Music, The Artery, Davis Art Center, Davis Developmental Pediatrics Group, Davis Odd Fellows Lodge, E Street Plaza, French Cuff Consignment, International House, Ray Johnston Photography Studio, Spa Central, The Wardrobe, The Work Shop and the Yolo SPCA Thrift Store.
