I am beyond proud of my daughter as she graduates and closes an unforgettable chapter on the UC Davis equestrian team.

Watching her balance academics, competitions, early mornings, and countless hours of hard work has been inspiring. The many friendships she has made on the UC Davis Equestrian team will last a lifetime.

We are so grateful for her opportunity to ride and be a part of such an incredible group of coaches and young ladies.

It is heartbreaking to see such a fabulous program be in jeopardy. We will continue to support the fight for this team and hope other girls get to have this amazing opportunity.

As a mom watching my senior daughter graduate from UC Davis, my heart is full of pride… and heartbreak.

Caring for these majestic animals is such an honor. It teaches life lessons no classroom could ever provide. Rain or shine, our daughter showed up with responsibility, dedication, and so much love for their horses and teammates. Being on the UC Davis Equestrian Team was hands-down the best experience of her entire college journey.

This wasn’t just a sport — it was a sisterhood built on hard work, compassion, and unbreakable bonds. To take that away from our girls mid-season, after they had already poured their hearts into it, feels profoundly wrong.

We are fighting for reinstatement because these experiences matter. They shape strong, resilient young women who learn far more from the barn than any lecture hall.

At UC Davis, students pay the majority of the entire athletics budget:
* 65% directly from Student Fees
* 26% from your tuition via institutional support
That’s over 90% student-funded… yet they cut an award-winning women’s Equestrian team while football loses $5M a year untouched. Is it time for a new Athletic Director ?

It’s important to know that UC Davis Athletics is funded over 50% by you, the students.
Students = Majority Shareholders.

So why don’t the students get a real say?

Poker taught me this: the real power isn’t in the move—it’s in making people believe the move makes sense.

That’s exactly what Rocko and Chancellor May did with their January 9 statement. They framed it like they cared. Like it was thoughtful. Like it was responsible. And somehow, people are still buying it.

“Club sport status is the most responsible path forward.” For who?
Because a roster of 50+ athletes fighting over 2–3 spots isn’t a solution—it’s a dismissal dressed up as strategy.

We keep saying they’re lying. But the truth is, they got there first. They controlled the narrative. And until something forces real accountability—until UC Davis faces consequences at the level of its athletic program—most people aren’t going to question it.

Help us save women’s sports at UC Davis !

⛔️Is your sport safe?

We thought ours was.

If you are paying attention - you see NCAA is fast-tracking flag football as an emerging sport for women — pushing hard for championship status by 2028, with big incentives, lower roster costs, high school growth, and the LA Olympics on the horizon.

Yet at UC Davis, they’re already cutting established women’s teams like equestrian. They’ve also recently cut five more athletes from another women’s team (details the administration seems eager to keep quiet).

Men’s sports are receiving $2.5 million more annually than their proportional share. They won’t have to worry — Rocko DeLuca and Sean Quinn have them protected.

This isn’t just about equestrian. It’s about basic equal rights for women athletes. We deserve fair treatment, not empty “inclusion” rhetoric that actually excludes US!

If you’re a current women’s athlete impacted by these inequities, consider joining the civil suit for Title IX compliance.
