I have always said shot placement and the correct bullet for the application is key! Hunted many years with a Kimber 6.5 swede, long before the CM with very good results!

It appears calling these two ballistic twins expose the lack of ballistic knowledge in many of you.
Most of you quoted bullet weight and starting speed to “prove” that the 270 Win was superior to the 6.5 CM. Keep in mind that bullet weight and ARRIVING speed is what kills. With factory offerings, the 6.5 CM overtakes the 270 at about 600 yards. Both carrying about 1,000 lbs of energy which is what is supposed to be needed to kill a deer. Inside of that, they both have more than the minimum energy required. They both will kill equally good with a well placed shot.

$200 NFA tax stamp is finally going away on January 1st, 2026.

The availability of suppressors on the market will be in short supply.

Buy your suppressor now, we’ll hold it until stamps are free in January and file then.

You lock in the suppressor you want now, and we’ll make sure the paperwork gets filed when the tax stamps are free.
