Introducing the third Small Business for this week’s Small Business Saturday: Madison’s Creations Co. 🥳

Madison’s Creations offers a variety of crocheted goodies, including the cutest plushies, stylish accessories, and handmade jewelry! ✨ What more could a craft lover ask for? 💚

I’ve known Madison Morton for as long as I can remember, and this girl has always had entrepreneur written all over her! Getting to know, watch, and love her creative mindset makes her business so much more near and dear to my heart!

Starting at a young age, Maddy would always create fun little crafts that were unique and made with love for her friends and family. From there, Madison’s Creations was born in the fall of 2019 when she finally decided to market her items. If I recall correctly, she sold out at her very first show (a proud friend moment 👏🏼). It’s an incredible feeling to see your friends love what they do, and for Maddy, that means creating items that bring joy to those who order them 🩵

Next up on this week’s Small Business Saturday is my go-to photographers, Julia Hake DiCicco and Gina DiCicco of DiCicco Photography! 📸

DiCicco Photography is a family-owned business run by momma DiCicco and her daughter-in-law, Gina! I absolutely love how they come from different backgrounds — a retired doctor and a kindergarten teacher (I’ll let you guess who did what) — and have combined their shared passion for photography 🤍 DiCicco Photography specializes in newborn, maternity, and family photography, and I can’t stress enough how incredible their work is. I personally had the opportunity to have branding photos taken by these two ladies, and I’ve never felt so comfortable and confident!

Happy Small Business Saturday! 🥳

Please join me in welcoming the first of four amazing small businesses being featured today: Cs Creations!

If you don’t know, now you know - I get my creative entrepreneurship from my mother and the C in “Cs”, Carrie Yenger-Shepherd 🤩

Her business started the day I left for college, as she went above and beyond to help me financially (truly the best mom ever!) 🥹 From crafting custom lanyard key holders to ornaments, she can bring any idea to life with perfection. Trust me, I’ve seen it firsthand! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing her light up making everything and seeing it proudly posted in dorm rooms, as house decor, or as a gift to others. Also, it’s kind of funny to see vinyl sheets stuck to every item of clothing she owns, haha! 😂

I could go on and on about how proud I am of Cs Creations’ success and the incredible work my mom does! She is so selfless, fearless, and impresses me every single day with the amazing creations ❤️

I am incredibly excited for you all to see how talented these 4 are, and I couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them ❤️

Sorry to bother you before your morning coffee, but I have the perfect place for you! ☕️

Introducing Pettibone Coffee, the home of my new favorite cold brew 🤩 If you know me, you know I’m picky about my coffee and pastries, but trust me when I say this place is pure perfection 🤌🏼 With its artsy and modern vibe, Pettibone offers an amazing space to be productive and have fun!

Now, onto my favorite part ⬇️

As a social media manager, the first thing I noticed about Pettibone’s social media platforms was how incredible their pictures are! Every photo is crisp and elegant, while their video content is well-captured and beautifully created! Well done, Pettibone 👏🏼

One thing I that surprised me while browsing their socials was a low engagement rate on their posts (if you aren’t familiar with the term, it’s the sum of your likes/comments divided by your total # of followers). If I had the opportunity to run their socials, I would increase engagement through:
• Utilizing more Call-to-Actions in their captions! 🚨 Almost every post should encourage your audience to engage in some way, whether it's asking how customers enjoy their pastries or what their favorite coffee at Pettibone is. Simple questions with simple answers/actions = more engagement! 📲
• Adding more emojis to liven up captions. Including little gems like "☕️" or "😊" makes a world of difference in grabbing viewers' attention! Also, breaking up the text with line breaks is much easier to follow along with than a long paragraph.

There is so much useful and valuable information in their captions that should never go unnoticed. These are just a few of many ways of how ALM could gain your audience’s attention and boost engagement! 🎉

I would absolutely LOVE to work with Pettibone Coffee’s socials! Not only am I a certified coffee addict, but I'm already head over heels for this place... a match made in caffeine heaven, right?
