Introducing the third Small Business for this week’s Small Business Saturday: Madison’s Creations Co. 🥳

Madison’s Creations offers a variety of crocheted goodies, including the cutest plushies, stylish accessories, and handmade jewelry! ✨ What more could a craft lover ask for? 💚

I’ve known Madison Morton for as long as I can remember, and this girl has always had entrepreneur written all over her! Getting to know, watch, and love her creative mindset makes her business so much more near and dear to my heart!

Starting at a young age, Maddy would always create fun little crafts that were unique and made with love for her friends and family. From there, Madison’s Creations was born in the fall of 2019 when she finally decided to market her items. If I recall correctly, she sold out at her very first show (a proud friend moment 👏🏼). It’s an incredible feeling to see your friends love what they do, and for Maddy, that means creating items that bring joy to those who order them 🩵

Next up on this week’s Small Business Saturday is my go-to photographers, Julia Hake DiCicco and Gina DiCicco of DiCicco Photography! 📸

DiCicco Photography is a family-owned business run by momma DiCicco and her daughter-in-law, Gina! I absolutely love how they come from different backgrounds — a retired doctor and a kindergarten teacher (I’ll let you guess who did what) — and have combined their shared passion for photography 🤍 DiCicco Photography specializes in newborn, maternity, and family photography, and I can’t stress enough how incredible their work is. I personally had the opportunity to have branding photos taken by these two ladies, and I’ve never felt so comfortable and confident!

Happy Small Business Saturday! 🥳

Please join me in welcoming the first of four amazing small businesses being featured today: Cs Creations!

If you don’t know, now you know - I get my creative entrepreneurship from my mother and the C in “Cs”, Carrie Yenger-Shepherd 🤩

Her business started the day I left for college, as she went above and beyond to help me financially (truly the best mom ever!) 🥹 From crafting custom lanyard key holders to ornaments, she can bring any idea to life with perfection. Trust me, I’ve seen it firsthand! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing her light up making everything and seeing it proudly posted in dorm rooms, as house decor, or as a gift to others. Also, it’s kind of funny to see vinyl sheets stuck to every item of clothing she owns, haha! 😂

I could go on and on about how proud I am of Cs Creations’ success and the incredible work my mom does! She is so selfless, fearless, and impresses me every single day with the amazing creations ❤️

I am incredibly excited for you all to see how talented these 4 are, and I couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them ❤️

Sorry to bother you before your morning coffee, but I have the perfect place for you! ☕️

Introducing Pettibone Coffee, the home of my new favorite cold brew 🤩 If you know me, you know I’m picky about my coffee and pastries, but trust me when I say this place is pure perfection 🤌🏼 With its artsy and modern vibe, Pettibone offers an amazing space to be productive and have fun!

Now, onto my favorite part ⬇️

As a social media manager, the first thing I noticed about Pettibone’s social media platforms was how incredible their pictures are! Every photo is crisp and elegant, while their video content is well-captured and beautifully created! Well done, Pettibone 👏🏼

One thing I that surprised me while browsing their socials was a low engagement rate on their posts (if you aren’t familiar with the term, it’s the sum of your likes/comments divided by your total # of followers). If I had the opportunity to run their socials, I would increase engagement through:
• Utilizing more Call-to-Actions in their captions! 🚨 Almost every post should encourage your audience to engage in some way, whether it's asking how customers enjoy their pastries or what their favorite coffee at Pettibone is. Simple questions with simple answers/actions = more engagement! 📲
• Adding more emojis to liven up captions. Including little gems like "☕️" or "😊" makes a world of difference in grabbing viewers' attention! Also, breaking up the text with line breaks is much easier to follow along with than a long paragraph.

There is so much useful and valuable information in their captions that should never go unnoticed. These are just a few of many ways of how ALM could gain your audience’s attention and boost engagement! 🎉

I would absolutely LOVE to work with Pettibone Coffee’s socials! Not only am I a certified coffee addict, but I'm already head over heels for this place... a match made in caffeine heaven, right?

These two are a match made in heaven, conveniently located right next to each other 🍔🍦 Start your adventure at the Roadhouse with a delicious burger or their tequila lime chicken (🤤). Maybe have a beer or two (please look at the size difference between a regular and a tall 🫣🍻). Then, finish the night off with a sundae from Shake Shack - especially the peanut butter lovers, I mean look at this thing!!! 😍 Or go wild and create your own loaded scrambler! And let's not forget their monster shakes, a dream come true for any Dayton sweet tooth! Check out their social media to drool over the all the ice cream creations they offer!

Oh yeah, and they have a stage for live music! Just another reason for you to go this weekend 🎤

Now, let's switch gears and dive into social media manager me ⬇️

Rip Rap has an impressive Facebook following, but let's take it up a notch! To boost engagement, I'd:
• Sprinkle in more User-Generated Content (UGC). There's nothing like seeing others enjoy the amazing food you provide! This not only spices your content up, but shows people that others love what you have to offer, so they should to! 👏🏼
• Instagram is a HUGE platform that comes with many benefits, being consistent on there can drag in even more people to experience what Rip Rap has to offer! Remember, each platform has its own unique audience, so make the most of them all!
• One last little tip: videos grow your reach and capture attention longer than a single picture… just an idea of what type content I could capture for you 😉

I've got a ton more creative ideas tucked away for restaurants and ice cream shops like these, but I can’t give away all the tricks up my sleeves 🤷🏻‍♀️

If given the chance, my passion and personality would enhance the already amazing Rip Rap's social media in a thrilling and engaging way! Working with these two awesome establishments would be an absolute blast! One can dream, right? 🤩

Planning on heading to Easton today? If so, great! Your trip just got a whole lot better 🤭 If not, you will be after reading this post ⬇️

Everyone welcome Flip Side Easton, a delicious (fantastic, incredible, you get where I’m going with this) burger joint located in Columbus, Ohio at Easton Town Center! 🍔

Trust me when I say these pictures don’t do this place justice!!! And the pictures alone don’t convince you enough already, Flip Slip was featured on the Cooking Channel’s Unique Eats!

…So you’re basically at celebrity status eating there? Yep, grab the keys 😏

Now to the fun part:
Social media manager me absolutely loves Flip Side’s socials! They capture great content of their food, and I’m starting to crave this place again just looking at it 😅
Some ideas I would pitch to boost engagement would include:
• Interactive short-form videos of you making the food and/or drinks, and a little fun fact on how some of the creations came to be (you’ll have to head over to their menu to understand: http://flipsideburger.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/togo_easton.pdf)
• The vibe I personally received at Flip Side was laid back and chill with a fun and inviting atmosphere that understands a stellar food palette 🤌🏼 With that being said, is that enough said? I would paint Flip Side’s personality all over their socials! Fun people deserve to eat fun food, and I would use social media to do just that!

There are so many opportunities for this place to be known as one of the Columbus burger joint staples, and these ideas are just two of many to help get them there!

I had such a great dining experience with Flip Side and think it would be an even greater opportunity to work with them one day! 📲

One whole month of ALM being live and I couldn’t be more grateful 🥰

If you know me personally, you know I’m a perfectionist and have to make sure all my ducks are in a row before I even think of doing ANYTHING (where’s my over planners at???). For the first time in my entire life, I can say ripping the bandaid off and starting my social media journey with no direction was the most eye opening and down right best thing I could have done for myself. I have learned more about myself in the past month than I could have ever imagined. This opportunity has sparked my creativity and made me even more passionate about what I do. I’ve always known this career was meant for me, but I can’t even begin to describe to you how much better it feels to be sure of it 🥹

From every ounce of my heart, thank you for supporting my dreams and helping me turn them into a reality. I seriously couldn’t do this without every single one of you!

Cheers to a whole month of stressful nights and sometimes a little too much excitement 😅 Now to many more!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone! 🇺🇸

I’m back with another brewery… 🤭

Everyone spend the holiday weekend with a beer in your hand at the Wandering Griffin Brewery & Restaurant located in Beavercreek, Ohio right off of Colonial Glenn!

Guys, this place has such a fun and inviting environment, and is clearly crafted to stick its mark on the map! 🗺️ That mural out front not only captures driver’s attention while passing, but the brewery’s personality at first glance 🦅 Not to mention all beers are brewed in house, and their happy hour runs from 11am-5pm Monday through Thursday… Is this beer heaven?

I think so 🍻

Some things I would highlight if I ran their socials for a day would be:
• Showcasing the variety of beers brewed in house - starting from the process of how they are brewed, to giving a flavor profile for viewers to crave 🍺
• Their ribs… plain and simple 🔥The bbq at this place is LEGIT!!!
• The never ending events 🥳 It seems like they always have something fun going on! I would hype each event up and make it seem like if you aren’t there… you’re square 🤷🏻‍♀️

There’s more that came from, but I’ll keep it short and sweet 😏
