"This time...It's personal!"
July is kicking off and so begins another theme month with "Life's A Beach", a celebration of some of our favorite and lesser-known Summer flicks! This week, we are joining Henrique and David in the Bahamas for a late 80s sequel that ended the franchise but lives on thanks to the absurdity it brought to the screen! When her son is killed by shark in Amity, Ellen Brody travels to Bahamas unaware that a shark has followed them in search of vengeance in 1987s "JAWS: The Revenge"!
Directed by Joseph Sargent and starring Lorraine Gary, Lance Guest, and Mario Van Peebles. Topics this episode include:
-Is this not the most entertaining sequel in the franchise?
-Why did the voodoo subplot get cut, yet touches of it remain in the film?
-How traumatizing was the opening kill with Sean Brody?
-Why should you go frame by frame through the climatic ending?
-How insane is the novelization compared to the final film?
PLUS:
-Where do the other "JAWS" films rank for our hosts?
-What other killer shark/animal films are worth a watch?
-How many 90s Erotic Thrillers did Henrique watch in the last week?
-What sleazy underseen gem is next week's pick for the show?
