I grew up in a family of high achievers. I didn't teach myself to read at age two, I didn't become a Rhodes Scholar, and I wasn't the sweetest or most patient person in the world. I believed I should make a huge difference in the world. I knew I could write. I thought I was supposed to write magnificent writing that would change everyone's lives.
