Ross Perkins, Black River Delta, Ampline, Small Reactions, Swarming Branch and Paige Beller. SofaBurn began as a basement label in 2006 as a platform to release albums by our friends. In 2015, we moved out of the basement into an office in Dayton, KY, rolled out National releases by new friends Daniel Martin Moore and Jeremy Pinnell, teamed up with skateboarding legend Mike Vallely and his Street

Plant Brand to provide music for a feature-length skate film and routed our artists on tours across the country and overseas. SofaBurn strives to involve itself with artists, musicians and performers that we find engaging and compelling in an effort that our collective work might find a wider audience.

Friends,
Our dear friend, teammate, & partner Ashly Montgomery was horribly injured in a hit and run while crossing the street on May 28th. Her body was sent over 40 feet from the impact of the car, shattering her pelvis, hip, and some internal organs. Thanks to the quick actions of a bystander, CPR was performed immediately, and 911 was called, saving her life. Following the crash, Ashly underwent an extensive 10 hour surgery to try to repair some of the damage. She has many surgeries and a very long road to recovery ahead of her.

Donations will help ease the burden of medical expenses, rehab costs, family and travel expenses, and everyday living expenses while we learn how long the road to recovery is going to be.

Ashly is the kindest soul to all that are privileged to know her, and the first to offer help to others in need. Now is our time to help her and take some of the pain and burden off of her and her family as she focuses on her recovery.

This weekend was an amazing example of what can happen with vision, purpose, coordination, and ex*****on. We are honored to play a small role in helping carrying out the vision of that is . We had an absolute blast and met so many great people, while reconnecting with old buddies. Thanks to and the staff for providing an absolutely perfect, safe, and welcoming environment for this event!

What. A. Weekend.

We're exhausted and buzzing, tired and restless. This weekend was the end result of countless conversations, texts, emails, phone calls, meetings, obstacles, frustrations, distractions, and so many other things. What we brought together, though, was almost exactly what we had in our heads and hearts, and we hope that showed.

To all the bands and musicians who performed, hung out, took it all in, and gave everything they had when they played, to all our incredible volunteers, to Morrella Raleigh, The Southgate House Revival, and their amazing and brilliant team, to all our beautiful community partners and in-kind sponsors, and to all of YOU, all we can offer at the moment is our humble and sincere thanks for being a part of something that has, in a very short amount of time, grown to mean so much to so many. Our fest is a celebration and in recognition of all of you.

We're going to take some time to process everything, catch our breath, and enjoy a little calm before diving back into some great shows and events happening the second half of the year. We hope you stick around, join us if you can, or even just help us spread the word.
