Dayton Magazine is proud to recognize the success of the local businesses in Greater Dayton, through our annual Best of Dayton Awards!

This event is a celebration and competition between the top establishments throughout Greater Dayton featuring finalists from dining, entertainment, shopping, and more.

All finalists will be invited to set up a complimentary booth space at the Best of Dayton 2025 Event on December 9th where they can set up a booth to showcase their company for guests!!! All votes cast at the event will count as double

All winners will be recognized in the Winter issue of Dayton Magazine later this year, featuring all Best of Dayton award recipients.

There’s nothing artificial about the intelligence of these two. In fact, they are leading the way in terms of creating revolutionary AI to use less energy and become more efficient. They live right here in the Dayton area, but they are taking their innovation and brain power to the stars.

In a world dominated by cutting edge technology and massive data centers that use even larger amounts of energy, it’s the father-son team of Steven D. Harbour, director of AI Hardware Research at Parallax Advanced Research, and his son, David A. R. Harbour, an electrical engineering student at the University of Dayton, who are pioneering the use of brain-inspired artificial intelligence (AI). Also known as neuromorphic computing, this technology is key to the successful future implementation of AI.

Hometown of the Wright Brothers, our city is known as the “Birthplace of Aviation.” Modern aviation in Dayton revolves around Dayton International Airport (DAY). DAY is located a short distance from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and close to the “Crossroads of America.”

On April 22, employees of the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission, Drive Electric Dayton, Heartland Charging Services and the Dayton Metro Library gathered in front of the Trotwood Branch of Dayton Metro Library. They had come together to celebrate the first charging of an electric vehicle (EV) at one of 24 newly installed Level 2 charging stations across the region.
