Traditional publishing or self-publishing - which one is actually right for your book?
Traditional publishing means pitching to agents and publishers, who front the costs but take a share of royalties and control over timeline and creative decisions. It's selective, slow, and often takes a year or more even after a book deal is signed.
Self-publishing means you keep creative control, a larger share of royalties, and a much faster timeline - but you (or your team) handle editing, design, formatting, and marketing yourself.
Neither path is automatically 'better.' The right one depends on your goals, timeline, and how much control you want to keep.
