It's always better to say no than to relive the trauma and feel additional hurt when the response is still so apathetic. Love yourself, first and foremost. There is currently a video going viral of a mom who cut her daughters hair to the roots on live as a form of punishment. If you post the video to add your thoughts please blur the girl's face so she does not suffer any more humiliation than she already has. The mother has since then posted a follow up of her daughter answering her questions basically saying that she deserves this punishment, is not traumatized and understands why it's "appropriate" because looking cute doesn't matter. Missing a few homework assignments proves her priorities were wrong according to her mother. We won't share the video but thought this woman said it best!
