Really excited to see this live! Nicole Kimberley-Staeheli and I had the opportunity to collaborate with the team at ReHub to bring the TIDES Supervision Model to their platform, and I couldn’t be more appreciative of how they’ve framed the work.
At its core, TIDES is a co-created supervision framework that integrates desistance theory, trauma-informed care, and neuroscience into everyday practice.
It’s grounded in four interconnected pillars of change:
👉 Self-Regulation
👉 Identity
👉 Resilience
👉 Social Support
And rather than prescribing a fixed starting point, TIDES meets people where they are—allowing the work to begin with whichever domain is most meaningful to them.
The focus shifts from managing behavior to understanding it…
from compliance to connection…
and from short-term responses to long-term change.
Because sustainable desistance isn’t driven by control—it’s built through regulation, reinforced through relationships, and stabilized through identity.
Grateful to the ReHub team for the partnership and for creating a space where these ideas can be shared with practitioners across the field.

If you’re working in probation, corrections, or human services, I’d encourage you to take a look.

🚨 What does a real probation session actually look like?

Not theory. Not slides.
An actual conversation.

In this new video, I walk through how probation officers assess peer risk using a practical tool called a sociogram.

👥 Who’s influencing behavior?
📉 Who’s increasing risk?
📈 Where are the opportunities for change?

Huge thanks to Lucy B (Tuesday’s Feature Ltd) for helping bring this to life 🎬

If this resonates, drop a comment—how are you assessing peer influence in your work?
