Robin Williams, Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), Chris Cornell (Soundgarden), Brad Delp (Boston), Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), just a few of our heroes we’ve lost to su***de.
Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.
The experts say that asking the simple question ‘Are you feeling suicidal?’ to someone who is expressing distress or despair can actually help them frame their thoughts about their emotions and get them the help they need.
It’s okay to talk about it.
It’s okay to ask for help.
Asking for help is the best thing you can do.
You’re not alone.
We’re all going through something.
If you are feeling depressed or have suicidal thoughts, remember that help is always available by calling 911 or contacting the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline by dialing 988 or visiting 988lifeline.org.
Friday afternoon at 5:30 military veteran and a good friend of our radio station, Jordan Snipes will join me in the studio to talk about the 5th annual 22 Miles for 22 event coming up on Saturday, September 19th at 6am at Riverwalk Park in Port Orange.
Helping to raise awareness for Veterans & First Responders mental health & su***de prevention with Tomorrow Needs You.
