Big wins for everyone’s favorite park! Last evening, our Common Council accepted a generous $1.5 million donation from the Friends of Bay Beach. This will help us pay off park debt early. By clearing that debt, we're freeing up park money to make needed repairs and fixes all across Bay Beach—including $120,000 for brand-new steel tracks for our famous miniature train! Get ready for smoother rides and a bright future at our favorite waterfront park.

Heads up, Brown County! ✈️

On Wednesday, August 19, from 9 a.m. – noon, Austin Straubel Airport - Green Bay, WI (GRB) will host a Full-Scale Emergency Exercise, simulating an aircraft crash on airport property to test our airport, airline, and regional emergency responders.

This is NOT a real emergency — it's a planned training exercise. You may see emergency vehicles, responders in protective gear, and simulated smoke on and around airport property during the exercise.

Regular airport operations will not be impacted by the exercise.

The FAA requires airports like GRB to run a full-scale exercise like this every three years, and it has to look and feel like the real thing so our first responders are truly ready if it ever is. Rehearsing today means a faster, more coordinated response tomorrow — for everyone who flies through GRB.

Thanks for your understanding as our airport, airline, and regional partners train together to keep our region safe. ✈️
