Have you heard of the 90/10 Principle?

Kids fighting over whos Happy Meal is whos knock off a cup and soda goes everywhere
Already overstimulated, already the mom guilt of Im leaving in 6 days, for a 6 day work cruise/trip etc. guilt of oh we are having McDonalds
Already annoyed I wasn’t paying attention and received a driving award in a school zone.

Came straight home to make the most of my time. Took the kids out on the lake, then grab McDonald’s.
Then it all just hits

10% is the spill 90% is how you react

Chaos in 2.3 seconds.

I want to scream. I want to cry.

But that spill? That is the 10%.
What you do next? That is the 90%.

I can let it ruin our whole evening
Or I can grab a towel, clean up, laugh, and move on.

Life will always spill. Sometimes soda, sometimes bigger things.

YOU can’t control the spills.
But you can control if you let them steal your PEACE

The less you give power to the 10%, the stronger your 100% will feel.

Remember your kiddos are always watching, learning.

Side note. We were blessed with some free cookies and the first thing Alli and Axel said before they seen how many or anything just seen cookies they both said MOM can we go give her some referring to the little girl sitting at a different table. My heart melted.. and all was right in the world again because that spill cleans. How we mold them as the next generation. That sticks!
