In 2025, I had a few people ask me to digitize their older home movies. I decided to film a instructional video on how to do that. After a while, the video tape and the actual film can gather dust, dirt and mold. I demonstrate how to both clean and digitize the old VHSs. This process is relatively the same for Compact VHSs (VHS-C), Hight-Brand Video 8s (Hi8), and 8mm cassette tapes. The only difference is that for Hi8s and 8mm, you need a Sony Handycam Camcorder for video playback, instead of a VCR. Also, for a VHS-C, a VHS to VHS-C Cassette adapter is needed for playback. (However, due to the older technology, the physical film can begin to degrade and shrivel after approximately 20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV-nffZWlaoyears, causing the audio and picture quality to decline.)

Filmed a highlight reel for a kid's basketball camp at DeKalb High School in May 2025. The basketball camp was through A Jah Davis Foundation, "nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children and young adults in the DeKalb community. We provide resources and events to help improve their education, health and wellness."

It was a busy morning, but fun!

Wow, it has been awhile since I've posted here last! I've been super busy with going back to school and working my other job full-time.
Anyway, I really enjoyed doing photos and videos for this person right here. It's pretty neat how she is in charge of a nonprofit that helps kids in the community through health, wellness and education initiative. Today, I got the opportunity to capture kids playing basketball.
