I hope you got your jackets washed they will be needed from Wednesday through the rest of the week Into the weekend! Starting on Wednesday we may not get out of the 60’s for afternoon high until Sunday! Fall is almost here!!

Hold on to your hats! On Wednesday we could potentially see wind gust upwards of 40mph! With sustained winds in the high teens to low 20’s. A windy day is on tap for our Wednesday while the strong cold front blow’s in! Tomorrow would be a good time to secure any loose items that could go airborn such as Halloween decorations ect. I do see this causing a few isolated power outages if we do in fact see wind gust upward of tropical storm force which is 39mph!

- A strong cold front will move through the area Tuesday evening into Tuesday night accompanied by showers and thunderstorms.

- Breezy winds will bring much cooler temperatures into the region on Wednesday.

Rainfall totals will remain around half of an inch. Although some areas could see closer to around an inch. There is a marginal threat for severe weather with these storms for tomorrow evening.

Major Hurricane Melissa will wreck havoc on the island of Jamaica in the early morning hours tomorrow. Let’s all keep them in our thoughts and prayers! This is a historic category 5 Hurricane about to hit the island! Completed devastation will occur!

Th coldest air of the season is right around the corner!! Tuesday a strong cold front will sweep through the region bringing some chilly temperatures with it. 🥶 I still think we stay warm enough for frost but it will be quite the chill! From Wednesday through next weekend we will experience real Fall! Highs struggle to get into the 70’s for several days! Lows in low 50’s to upper 40’s! A few night’s we may see low 40’s and for some isolated area’s high 30’s are not off the table!! Get your jackets ready they will be needed later this week!! Enjoy 🥶🥶🥶

Well folks I hope everyone faired okay last night with the weather looks like we did in fact have a few tornadoes down in Calcasieu Parish. The models look like they had a good handle on things as the rainfall totals came in just under 3.5 inches. Focasted was 2-4 inches. Much needed rainfall was received! If you have any damage shoot me some pictures so I can pass it on to the National Weather Service. I hope everyone’s property is okay!

The worst of the weather is over with for our area. Can’t rule out a few more showers between now and sunrise but the severe threat is over. The rest of today looks rain free!

If you live in this blue circle along Hwy 171 and surrounding areas you’re next! No active tornados at the moment. Expect heavy rain , lighting and gusty winds!

This line segment of storms is definitely producing some damaging winds. The power outages tells the story. Just north of Dequincy already has over 700 customers out!
