Where’s my Junction folks at?? I’m seeing on radar that you guys have received up to 4 inches of rain this morning. Anyone got a rain gauge to confirm??

Folks around the Merryville area you guys are getting 2 inch an hour rainfall rates according to radar. Be careful traveling the roadways could have ponding on them.

Heavy rain around the area this morning. Currently there are flash flood warning s to our south in south central Beauregard parish as well as central Calcasieu. This rain is moving south. There are some heavy bands just to our west at this hour. If these bands move anymore to the east they will be on top of us. Hopefully they stay to our west. Junction and Merryville your more in line to see these next few bands of rain.

Potential Low temperatures next Friday morning from the cold front! May see upper 60’s!!

Artic air will spill out of Canada into the United States the middle of next week! This cold air is trending to make it all the way south to the gulf coast. This will be another taste of fall. It will warm up during the day. We are still in September but it will be very comfortable in the mornings and evening the end of next week. This won’t be quite jacket weather but it’s not far away! We will take it while we can get it for now!

Cold front coming late next week!!

It’s looking more and more likely that we will see a respectable cold front late next week. I don’t want to oversell this thing, but mid to upper 80s in the day, with low humidity, and mid 60s at night are a very realistic possibility for late next week and weekend. There are some cooler ensemble members that are showing some upper 50s at night potential. We aren’t there just yet, but the possibility of a cold front moving all the way to the coast is looking more promising for late next week and weekend. I am 100% not mad!

The rain has dissipated for the evening. Rain will build back in the early morning hours tomorrow. We will have off and on periods of rain through the day tomorrow.

Light showers are moving into town from the North. These showers should remain light. More rain expected to build back in overnight into tomorrow.

Round 1 of the rain is heading our way from the north! It looks like we have a wet weekend setting up. Won’t be surprised to see 2-4 inches between today through Sunday. It won’t rain continuously all weekend it will come in waves with breaks in between. See current radar below. There is a marginal risk for severe Weather associated with this complex of storms for today. The biggest risk is flash flooding with a small chance for some damaging wind gust.
