Nothing brings people together like good food 🤍
My friend and I teamed up to make one of the most loved Palestinian dishes — Msakhan 🇵🇸
Crispy roasted chicken, caramelized sumac onions, and warm bread soaked in olive oil… it’s simple, traditional, and SO good.
Here’s how we made it ⬇️
(Non traditonal) Chicken Marinade:
Olive oil, laban, mustard, ketchup, black pepper, salt, chicken spices, paprika, garlic powder.
Add 1 cup water + splash of oil to pan. Bake 350°F for 1 hour, then broil 5 min.
Onion Mixture:
1 bag diced onions, lots of sumac, salt, 7 spices, ground cloves, black pepper, lots of olive oil.
Cook until soft.
Assemble:
Layer 3 breads, adding olive oil + sumac between each layer.
Top with the onion mixture, warm in the oven, then add the chicken on top.
And that’s it — authentic Palestinian Msakhan ❤️
Let us know how you like it once you’ve tried it!
